Traveling down the scenic coastal highway in CA

It was an amazing ride as we headed to Barstow, CA.  We knew we had a long ride and really couldn't spend a great deal of time stopping and taking pictures, but we couldn't resist some of this coastline. The contrast between the rocky cliffs, volcanic rock off shore and the mountains adjacent to the coast was incredible.

Then we saw the elephant seals.  They were totally adorable.  Viv thought they looked like driftwood, but I thought they looked like gian slugs.
